SISTEM INFORMASI SELEKSI PENERIMAAN SISWA BARU PADA SMKN 2 TAMIYANG LAYANG

Abstrak

State Vocational High School (SMKN) 2 Tamiyang Layang is one of the most popular schools in East Barito Regency. The current admission system uses a registration form, so that after new prospective students register, the data is retyped into Microsoft Office Word. After all the data is entered, then in the next few days the officer will select the data one by one, if the applicant has met the criteria and is competent, the student is accepted by the State Vocational High School (SMKN) 2 Tamiyan Layang. With the current system, it takes a long time in the process of selecting these data, not to mention if there is an error in calculating the number of students who register, because the calculation is still done manually. In addition, making registration reports and also receiving student data also takes a long time and also requires more energy and costs.
To overcome these problems, we need an application that can assist in managing new student registration data and assist in the selection of new students. This application was created using Visual Basic 2010 and Microsoft Office Access 2010 as the database, using the simple additive weighting method.
The final result of this research is the creation of an information system for new student admissions at SMKN 2 Tamiang Layang with a calculation system using the simple additive weighting method. The output of this application is in the form of registration reports, national exam scores reports, report cards scores, additional score reports, written test scores reports, selection assessment reports, period selection reports, and graduation ranking reports.
