Abstract

Traditional games such as marbles possess historical and cultural value that should not be overlooked. However, with the rapid advancement of technology, these games are increasingly being forgotten. This thesis presents the design and development of a digital marbles game using p5.js, a JavaScript library designed for creating interactive visual content on the web.
The primary objective of this study is to revive the traditional marbles game by presenting it in an engaging and interactive digital format. The development process began with the creation of an intuitive user interface to ensure ease of use and user engagement. Realistic physics mechanisms were then implemented to simulate the movement and interactions of marbles within the game environment.
The resulting application is a browser-based digital game that can be accessed via any platform supporting p5.js. It includes various levels with increasing challenges, such as obstacles, varying marble speeds, and target achievements. Sound effects are also integrated to enhance the overall immersive gameplay experience.
