Abstract

Inventory management system (IMS) is an important part of a business in terms of controlling, managing and monitoring inventory. IMS provides many benefits for company owners and customers. In this research the author carried out data collection techniques using interviews, observations and literature studies. The system development method used is waterfall. The results of this research are to provide an alternative application in terms of spare part management. It is hoped that the application created can create operational quality improvements in the company.
The scope of this research is stock management of motorbike spare parts complete with display of location and item details, outgoing and incoming goods transactions, as well as funding income and expenses. The resulting output is in the form of goods reports, customer reports, employee reports, outgoing goods reports to customers/branches, incoming goods reports.
Based on the results of implementation and testing, the system has been running in terms of managing and presenting running information. The testing process used is black box testing. In the blackbox test, results were obtained with a success percentage of 100%, it can be concluded that the application was built in accordance with the existing process.
