SISTEM PENDUKUNG KEPUTUSAN PENENTUAN PENERIMAAN BEASISWA PADA STMIK INDONESIA BANJARMASIN MENGGUNAKAN METODE PROFILE MATCHING

Abstract

Scholarships are gifts in the form of financial assistance given to individuals with the aim of being used for the continuation of the education pursued. Scholarships can be awarded by government agencies, companies or foundations. Scholarships can be categorized as free giving or giving with a work bond (usually called an official bond) after the completion of education. The length of service for this service varies, depending on the institution that provides the scholarship.
In accordance with the regulations set by STMIK Indonesia schools to obtain scholarships, criteria are needed to determine who will be selected to receive the scholarship. Scholarships are distributed by the school to help someone who is less well off or has high achievements during their studies. To help determine someone who is eligible for a scholarship, a decision support system is needed. One method that can be used for a Decision Support System is to use profile matching.
In this study, a case will be appointed that is looking for the best alternative based on predetermined criteria using the profile matching method. This method was chosen because it was able to select the best alternative from a number of alternatives, in this case the intended alternative was those who were entitled to receive scholarships based on the specified criteria. The research was conducted by determining the aspects and sub-aspects as well as looking for the weight value for each sub-aspect, looking for GAP between the profile and the state of the data from the students using this method, determining the presentation of the two aspects of the aspect and totaling then the ranking process was carried out which would determine the optimal alternative, namely best students.
